Make Your Contribution
The ModPod has advanced as far as it can on paper and we are now seeking donations to help realize its full, built potential. After rigorous studies of layout, structure, mechanical systems and materials, and after working sessions and design reviews with Rice School of Architecture faculty and teams of Houston professionals, the ModPod is ready for construction. Through your support we will build and install a complete working prototype in Houston’s Third Ward. All contributions are tax-deductable and may be made through the Rice School of Architecture's Donation Page, which is secured and processed by Rice University. Simply specify "Other RSA Fund" under the "Designation" drop down menu and type "ModPod" as the other designation in the next text field. Please follow these steps to ensure your donation reaches the ModPod project. If you are a manufacturer or supplier and would like to contribute to the ModPod in the form of construction materials, fixtures, or appliances, please email info@modusoperations.com.

Material Support
	Ferguson, which has a nationwide network of bath, kitchen and lighting galleries, has generously donated all kitchen and bath plumbing fixtures and provided appliances at a significantly reduced cost. Jim Hoopaugh, Showroom Manager at Ferguson’s Houston branch, has embraced the ModPod and worked tirelessly to make these contributions possible.
	In conjunction with Ferguson, Mirabelle has donated all the bathroom fixtures, including bathtub, toilet, sink, faucets, lighting, and accessories. The ModPod will specifically use items from the Edenton and Winter Haven product lines.
	Also in conjunction with Ferguson, Bosch has provided both the electric cooktop and oven at a significantly reduced cost. Joe Gonzales, Bosch’s Houston-area sales representative, made these contributions possible.
	Thanks to donations by Häfele from their new Loox line of LED light fixtures, the ModPod prototype will enjoy the energy efficiency and long product life of LED. Special thanks are in order for Jodie Yake, the South-Central Architectural Sales Manager, who made the donations possible.
	The entire kitchen cabinet system has been donated by IKEA Houston. The prototype will use cabinets from the Akrum line in Applåd White finish. Kim Castillo, Marketing Manager at IKEA Houston who has made past contributions to efforts at Project Row Houses, is specifically to thank for this donation.
	The bathroom door glides effortlessly on beautiful stainless steel barn-door hardware donated by Real Sliding Hardware. Moriah Rees worked with our team to select the Stainless Aero Flat Track Kit that fits beatifully within the design intent.
	Lowe’s has generously donated a range of miscellaneous materials, from gypsum board to fastners to trim. These contributions were spearheaded by Steve Jordan, Market Director for Houston-area Lowe’s stores.


Grant Support
	The Architecture Center Houston Foundation, a collaboration between the Houston AIA and Houson Architecture Foundation, has provided a grant that will fund construction materials for the prototype.
	The Rice Design Alliance, through an Initiative for Houston Grant, helped fund the the mechanical systems at the heart of the ModPod.


Personal Support
These individual donors have contributed directly to the ModPod, bringing our vision closer to reality. In recognition of their support, all contributions above $100 will receive a small book documenting the ModPod concept and prototype. All other contributions will be recognized with a small collection of ModPod postcards.
